Don MacLafferty

Founder and Executive Director

Don’s top four roles in his life are: a disciple of Jesus Christ, a husband to his wife April, a daddy and life mentor to their three children, and visionary leader in discipling children and families to Christ. Don has celebrated over 21 years with April and they have served God together in pastoral ministry for most of those years. In 2002, Don founded Kids In Discipleship as a pastor at the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church. Don is passionate about family, the discipleship of children and their parents and the leadership development of those who are called by God to champion these priorities.

Why am I a K.I.D. staff member?

God has called me to boldly champion the discipleship of children to Jesus Christ. I am delighted to be a part of the K.I.D. global movement that God has raised up for this very time!

Fun Facts about Don:

• I love hiking, backpacking, canoeing, wildlife photography, gourmet cooking, reading, international travel and meeting the Divine Appointments God provides every day.
